Latest news from the SUPER MOON team

We spent a few hours at the Oleas Ruales Verge Refuge in Cayambe at 15,500 feet. After some rest, we woke up at 11:00 p.m. and began walking at midnight. A few hours later, we were watching the sunrise, and minutes after that, we were at the summit of Cayambe, the snow-capped volcano closest to the equator.

The whole team reached the summit. The mountain was in incredible condition. We are happy and content on our rest day in the valley of the province of Imbabura at one of the oldest colonial haciendas in the region, Hacienda Cusin.

We have 1-2 days of rest ahead of us before our next goal. For now, we are enjoying the Andean valley.
