Nifty Fifty at Karanga Camp

Posted on January 25, 2025 | Cybercasts

Hello Everyone,
Today we had a great hike but pretty stormy weather throughout most of the day. We hiked through some sun, rain, and even some hail most of the day but arrived to Karanga camp at 13,300ft in good spirits. After lunch and some rest in the afternoon a big storm hit the mountain with a lot of rain, hail, thunder and lightning but we are all safe and dry. We had a bit of a river running through the dining tent but were able to make some drainage and ended up having a pleasant dinner this evening. We are all heading off to bed now with the storm subsiding and hope to have clear, beautiful skies in the morning! Tomorrow we head to high camp and prepare for the summit. The team is doing great, and excited for the days ahead! Talk you again tomorrow.
