We caught an early start out of Pampa de Lenas, partly to avoid the suns heat and partly to see the Guanacos. We saw two fluffy guanacos! We powered through the suns heat and we were glad for each shady cloud as few and far between as they were. We got our first glimpse of the summit and we settled into Casa Piedra just in time to take shelter from strong winds up valley. By the time our siesta was over the winds died down. Such is life!
