The “Dreadnoughtasauras” Prepares for Launch

Hello Friends and Family of Denali Team 3,

This is Evan Miller with the first cybercast of our expedition that started May 18. Yesterday the team met each other at the Alpine Ascents facility in Talkeetna for some introductions, a gear check and packing. We then met with Denali climbing rangers at the station in Talkeetna for our pre-trip briefing.

A good dynamic was observed between team members and guides and we are excited to get going. The dinner conversation at the Brew Pub in Talkeetna was so good that we forgot to take a picture. Stay tuned and we’ll send one from the air strip today if we fly. Weather is looking iffy but some holes in the cloudy and wet weather do seem to have arrived on the forecast so we’ll see if the air taxi can sneak us on to the Kahiltna and base camp.

Our team name that you can use to follow us has been chosen. You can now find us as Team Dreadnoughtasauras.

Thanks for following along,

Evan
