To purchase Trip Cancellation/Evacuation Insurance for your trip:
As there are many unforeseen circumstances that may occur during or leading up to the trip, we highly recommend trip cancellation insurance for all programs. Trip cancellation insurance may allow you to receive reimbursement if you need to cancel your expedition. In most situations, trip cancellation insurance may be the only way to receive a refund for unused services or if you cancel less than 120 days before departure. Alpine Ascents International offers cancellation/evac plans in conjunction with our primary travel insurance provider, Ripcord.
For those travelers requiring a “cancel for any reason” policy we recommend our other provider, Trip Assure.

We recommend the Comprehensive Travel Insurance Policy as this includes both Trip Cancellation and Interruption.

- Adventure– Specific Reasons for Cancellation – this is the most commonly purchased programs and usually includes protection against illness or injury when needed to cancel and includes other services such as trip interruption and evacuation insurance
- Adventure Plus – Cancel for Any Reason (Must be purchased within 15 days of registration; generally reimburses 75% of trip cost)
