Team One Dream Reaches Pampa de Lenas

Today we made the dusty trek to Pampa de Lenas. Our climbers are a bit worn from the sun but in good spirits. The arrieros held a huge asado, and it was so wonderful to enjoy Argentine culture in the heart of the High Andes. Buennoche!

10 Sentinel Seekers Ready for the Summit Push!

Today we made the big push up to our high camp at 19,600′ with plans to push for the summit tomorrow! The weather is looking favorable with light winds and other teams had good success climbing today. We just finished our simple dinner of hot dogs and mashed potatoes and are getting ready to pack our bags and settle in for an early wake up.
The team is excited to push higher and push ourselves to see what we can achieve safely on the upper mountain, and hopefully touch the top of South America!

All the best,
Jake and Diego

Introducing Team “One Dream”

Team “one dream” here at The army hostel in Puente del Inca. We are a team of 7, lead by Gonzol0 and myself Don Nguyen. Over the last few days we have packed provisions, checked and reviewed our gear, and ate an inappropriate amount of bife. 🐮 We have stayed a night with the Mountain Cazadores (mountain troopers) and have sent our duffels ahead on the backs of a herd of long eared Mulas! 🫏 We walk with light daypacks up the Valle de Vacas to our next camp tonight Pampa de Lenas. The weather is cloudy today with a chance of rain and what a relief this is for us from the high desert sun and heat. 🌧☁ Thanks for following! Don

Sentinel Seekers reach 18,400 ft!

Today was a hard day as the team moved up to Camp 2 at 18,400′, but we enjoyed the challenge. After a short, hard climb, we enjoyed high mountain vistas and an amazing empanada dinner. We are looking forward to a rest day tomorrow to recover strength and enjoy camp!

Sentinel Seekers Move to Camp Canada

Today the team is moving up to Camp 1, Camp Canada. Everyone has enjoyed 5 days here with the amenities of basecamp, including excellent food and accommodations prepared by the basecamp staff. We have already had a successful summit of Mt Bonete (16,575′) and a day trip to Camp Canada (16,600′). We are in good spirits and looking forward to testing our limits on the upper mountain!

All the best,
Jake and Diego
