Acclimatization Hike to Lake Churup. Terry reporting.

This is Terry Casey for the Alpine Ascents 2012 Great Peaks of Peru trip. It’s Day 5 here I believe, and we had a great acclimatization hike up to Lake Churup today, about 2.5 hours up or a little less and about an hour and a half down. Great dinner tonight hosted by Jose Luis and tomorrow we are off to base camp for Ishinca. And I think it will be several days before you hear probably from us again.  The weather’s been good, everybody’s healthy, looking forward to a great next couple of days.

Konstantin reporting from Lima for the Peru Team

Hi everybody this is Konstantin from the Alpine Ascents International Peru Expedition.  We are in Lima, we’re at the lobby of the hotel.  Everybody has arrived safe, everyone’s gear appears to be here as well which is good.  We spent the day touring Lima, we went to the historical center and watched the change of the presidential guard, we went to the gold museum, and toured the city basically, it was fun, the weather is good.  We had some nice dinner, you know protein and carbo loading.  And people have gone to their rooms now to have a sleep, and tomorrow morning we start out bus tour to the Cordillera for the first time tomorrow, we are very excited about that.  This is our first cybercast, we want you to stay tuned, so you can follow along, thanks very much good night.
