Mongolia 2019 – Final Day!

Hi all,

Our team got into Ulaanbataar late last night and spent this morning relaxing. In the afternoon we explored the city a bit and did some last minute shopping. We had a great last meal, complete with a few bottles of wine. Our team members start flying home early tomorrow morning. Overall the trip went well. We had our share of set backs, poor weather, and broken down vans, however the team stayed positive throughout. This trip has created strong friendships and great memories!

Mongolia 2019 – Team Back in Ulaanbataar

Hi everyone,

We had an eventful last day in Olgii. It started off with a visit to a local eagle hunter in Sagsai. Our van promptly blew a transmission upon arrival but luckily our other van was still functional after changing a flat tire. The team was then invited to the wedding celebrations of Kada, one of our guides from last year. We drank some milk tea and wished them a happy marriage before heading to the airport. The flight to UB got in late this evening and the team is happy for hot showers and beer! Attached are some photos of our ascents of Khuiten and Nairamdal peaks.

Mongolia 2019 – Team Back to Olgii

Hi all,

After a long day of hiking and driving we arrived in Bayan Olgii. We were waylaid a few hours after getting all of our vans stuck in deep mud, but arrived in good spirits with libations. Tomorrow we plan on visiting a local eagle Hunter and attending a wedding. Here are a couple photos from our time in the Altai.
