Big day!

Friends, family and loved ones,

No visit to St. Petersburg would be complete without a tour of the Hermitage. So that was the first thing we did this morning. Then we boarded a jet and flew to south Russia.

Working off the jet lag.

We traded the jet for a van and continued south through farmland right down to the border of Asia.

Pastures of plenty.

It’s rather late now and we are just going to bed but we are happy to be at the foot of the Caucasus range.

All my best,
Vern Tejas

Touring St. Petersburg

Friends, family and loved ones,

Rainy weather did not dampen our spirits for seeing the sights of old St. Petersburg. We visited the fort, jail and cathedral of Peter and Paul fortress.

BOOM!
The traditional noonday gun was important for the navigators of this port city. The death gate that we are standing in front of was where condemned political prisoners passed through on the way to execution.

We visited cathedrals, the largest being St Isaac’s, 4th in the world. The doors are 35 feet tall.

All my best,
Vern Tejas

The beginning

Hello friends, family and loved ones,

All team members have arrived in St. Petersburg Russia with the goal of standing on top of Europe’s highest mountain. This evening we got to know one another over a fine duck dinner. Many of the members have climbed together on other peaks so team building is already under way. Please join along and follow us throughout our adventure to the summit and beyond.

All my best,
Vern Tejas

Babies finish off the Adventure

Friends, family and loved ones,

We toured the fair city of Moscow from top to bottom.

Overlooking Moscow.
The Kremlin was the crown jewel of our sight seeing. And this concluded our adventure and we are now flying home. Thanks for following our expedition to the top of Europe.

All our best,
Carołe & Vern Tejas

Cry Babies on Tour

Friends, family and loved ones,

Today we flew to Moscow and walk all over the the historic parts of town. We saw Red Square, Lenin’s Tomb and Saint Basil’s Cathedral.

Making wishes at the gate to Red Square.
The Square is huge, large enough to hold a rock concert.

The G.U.M. Is the oldest and grandest shopping arcade in Europe. It’s lit up like a Christmas tree at night.

Tomorrow we visit the Kremlin and tour the outer city.

All our best,
Carole & Vern Tejas
