Elbrus has left the Mountains

Friends, family and loved ones,

We packed our bags and took a flight to Moscow. The city is immense and begs us to explore. After dinner we walked to Red Square to catch the lights and feel the pulse in the historic part of town. Our exploration will continue tomorrow on a tour of the city. Please join in.

All our best,
Team Elbrus

Big day continued

Some went Fourwheeling.

Some went mountain biking. We finished of with fine Shashlik and vodka.

All my best,
Vern Tejas

Elbrus Presley gets down!

Hello friends, family and loved ones,

After summiting we slept like rocks. And as rocks tend to do, we rolled down downhill this morning. Back at our hotel, we all bathed and put fresh clothes before we had lunch. A lunch comprised of the local favorite, Shashlek or lamb shish-kabobs.

Mmmmm good!

The weather has changed for the worse and our beautiful run of great conditions has turned to rain. Everyone is happy to have the weather we did for our summit bid. Now back to eating and sleeping.

All our best,
Team Elbrus

We stand on Top

Friends, family and loved ones,

It was a beautiful sunrise that shone on us several hours into our ascent.

The wind was mild and the sky clear, making for good climbing conditions.

We made good times and were on the summit by 10:30.

We descended and celebrated our success and Erika’s birthday. Happy Birthday Erika!

All our best,
Carole. & Vern Tejas

The expedition was great right from the time Vern picked us up at St.petersburg till we left Moscow for home. The sightseeing both in st.petersbug and Moscow was well organized and informative .
