The Team tours Moscow, visiting cathedrals, schools, the Seven Sisters, and the Kremlin, taking breaks to eat delicious food, and then finding their way home on the Metro

Hello there friends, family, and loved ones, this is Team Climb for a Smile calling in from beautiful downtown Moscow.

We’ve had a great day of it today; we’ve been on tour. We went all over the place. We’ve seen cathedrals. We’ve seen schools. We’ve seen the city. We’ve seen the Seven Sisters. And we’ve had a great time eating food. And we got inside the Kremlin, toured that, and then spent a fun afternoon getting back home, doing the tour of the Moscow underground, the Metro system. And then we went out to eat after doing a little shopping. And everybody had a satisfying meal, some of the best food I’ve had in all of Moscow.

So please stay tuned for the adventures, as we start coming home. Ta ta for now!

Team Climb for a Smile ends the night with ice cream and real beds after flying to Moscow with smiles all around

Friends, family, and loved ones, this is Climb for a Smile broadcasting direct from the restaurant in downtown Moscow. Yes, we’ve flown all the way from southern Russia to northern Russia. We’re in Moscow right now eating ice cream (“morozhenoye” we call it) and we’re having a great dinner. Team Smiles all around.

We didn’t get lost on the airline, all of our baggage arrived, and we get to sleep in a real bed tonight, so (cheers in background).

Thanks for following our broadcast. We’re just enjoying ourselves. We’ll be touring tomorrow and then on our way home the following day, so look for us soon. We’re thinking of you. Ta ta for now!

Team Climb for Smile summits Mt Elbrus, the roof of Europe then heads back to Cheget for a celebration lunch!

Hello friends, family, and loved ones, this is Team Climb for Smile reporting in from downtown Cheget.

We’ve now gone to the top of the mountain on a horrible weather day, but everybody was game for it and we just kept on trucking until we made it to the top. The wind was probably pushing about 80 km/hour and everybody would just grin and bear it. We kept our faces covered and were able to go all the way to the summit, the roof of Europe! And everybody was elated about that.

We came down by noon after a very early takeoff, and had a great lunch and then have descended from the mountain down into the valley. And now we’re in Cheget at the hotel. Just had a wonderful celebration meal of grilled salmon and a thing called… (word unclear), which is a local dish sort of like a pizza but it’s different, and just had a great time. So everybody’s real excited to be down.

We’re getting showers and packing bags and heading to Moscow tomorrow. So please check in with us tomorrow and see how we do. Ciao for now!

Team Climb Smile rested and dried out on, what turned out to be, a beautiful day with hopes for continued good weather for a summit push in the morning

Hello there friends, family, and loved ones, this is Team Climb for a Smile reporting in from our camp high on the flanks of Mount Elbrus.

Today was a day for drying and for resting. After yesterday’s fiasco in the white-out, where we were slogging along in very wet conditions not being able to see where we were going, today turned into quite sunny so the weatherman has been wrong for two days in a row. So we’re hoping he’s wrong tomorrow and we’re going to try for the top once again.

Undaunted spirits to the top of Europe! So please stay tuned and… (transmission ends).

White-out conditions required Team Climb Smile to turn around from their summit push and return to camp and end their day giggling

Hey there friends, family, and loved ones this is Team Climb Smile checking in from our camp. It has been a very unique day.

We went up early in the morning, probably about, left here about 3:30 and basically ascended right into a white-out and a blazing blizzard. (“I think I just lost it” said to background.) Hey, anyway, we almost died (giggles in background) so we’re back, everybody’s here; I’ve been counting them ever since we got back in. And the white-out’s still raging outside and still windy, but we’re all safe here. And we were only a thousand feet from the summit when we turned back, but we didn’t know which direction it was so…

Anyway, thanks for following along and there will be more when we rest and dry. Bye bye for now.
