Everest/Lhotse 2021: Back to Kathmandu, wrap up.
Hello Everyone,
We have been back in Kathmandu for a few days now and have been lucky enough to have gotten flights out of Kathmandu tonight. We are looking forward to making our way back home but it has been an incredible journey even though we were unable to reach the summit this year. We built a great team, and we were all able to have many positive outcomes throughout this journey.
We will be back next year and hope that the weather will be a little nicer towards the end of May!

Hello Everyone,
We are all safely back at Basecamp! We had a couple tough days descending in poor weather but the team remained strong commuted to returning safely. Unfortunately we were unable to summit this year but we still had a pretty incredible 60 days together as a team. We will be hanging out in Basecamp until the weather improves here before we can fly back to Kathmandu and start our journeys back home. I will get some photos together tomorrow to post and will be updating as we make our way back to Kathmandu and end the expedition.
Thanks for following along!

Hello Everyone,
We are all safely to the South Col. A little windy here but just fine inside the tents. We had a beautiful day climbing to the South Col with only 3 or 4 other people climbing up! We will rest tomorrow and let the winds die down a little and plan to summit on the morning of the 26th. We will see what the weather does but we are feeling pretty good about it right now. Lakpa Rita will be updating our movements to the summit starting tomorrow night. But if for some reason some of the dispatches don’t go through just remember no news is good news. We will update as quickly as we can and we have a very capable team up here taking good care of our climbers!

Everest/Lhotse 2021: Camp 3
Hello Everyone,
Today we had beautiful weather and no crowds to make our climb to Camp 3 at 23,400ft. We are feeling good here with currently no wind this afternoon but some clouds coming up. Tomorrow morning we will climb to the South Col, the final Camp before heading out towards the summit. The weather forecasts are a little mixed but we will see if we are able to squeeze in a summit before the possibility of snow snow. We are feeling positive we will get a shot at the summit but we will see what the weather is like when we are actually there!

Many thanks for organizing the expedition. It was a fantastic experience! I am looking forward to climbing with AAI on other mountains.
