Everest/Lhotse 2021: Camp 3

Hello Everyone,

Today we had beautiful weather and no crowds to make our climb to Camp 3 at 23,400ft. We are feeling good here with currently no wind this afternoon but some clouds coming up. Tomorrow morning we will climb to the South Col, the final Camp before heading out towards the summit. The weather forecasts are a little mixed but we will see if we are able to squeeze in a summit before the possibility of snow snow. We are feeling positive we will get a shot at the summit but we will see what the weather is like when we are actually there!

Everest/Lhotse 2021: Basecamp to C2

Hello Everyone,

We had a very successful day today climbing to Camp 2! We left Basecamp early and only saw a handful of people all the way to Camp 2. The team is strong and healthy and we are planning on climbing to Camp 3 tomorrow morning. The weather is looking a little tricky to get a good summit day in but we are hopeful that it will work out for us. We will give it our best effort, and will make a safe decision for our team in the end but there is only one way to find out what the weather is doing up high and that is to go check it out.

I will send some pics tomorrow of us climbing the Lhotse face and once at Camp 3. Thanks for following along!

Everest/Lhotse 2021: Heading up for summit attempts

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for not posting much the last several days, but not much has been happening here at Basecamp. We have been resting for the most part, staying healthy here and enjoying the comforts of Basecamp. We are looking forward to moving again tonight as we head up to Camp 2 and beyond for our summit attempts. We have some flexibility with our exact summit date depending on the weather so will keep you informed as we continue up. For now though we will get some more rest this afternoon before heading to Camp 2. Talk to you soon. (The first pic is of most of our team here at Basecamp, and the second is our summit team).

Thanks for following along!
