1st Kilimanjaro Machame trip of the season begins

Hello Everyone,

We are kicking off our 1st Kilimanjaro trip of the season! Yesterday we did an orientation, gear check, city tour, and a Welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Everyone is excited to get to the mountain this morning and start the adventure. We are all looking forward to a fun week getting to the top of The Roof of Africa. I will get a couple photos up shortly. Stay tuned in here for progress on our first team.

Hello Everyone,

We had an uneventful and nice hike down through the forest to Mweka gate to safely finish this expedition. Our climbers stayed positive and strong throughout this expedition and it was a pleasure to share the summit with them for my 57th trip to the Roof of Africa!

Today, most of the climbers are heading out on Safari and a couple of them will be making their way back home. This is our last group of the season and nice to finish another trip with a 100% summit success! I’m already looking forward to next season. Thanks for following along on this expedition!

Not only does one feel the excitement of watching a team as it moves up the mountain, the archived cybercasts provide an excellent resource and learning tool when researching expeditions. Please note that we do not update our cybercast over weekends or holidays.
