The Wolverines finally had our final day off at base camp—rest, good food, and hydration before starting our summit attempt on Aconcagua. Our connectivity will be a bit limited in the coming days, but we’ll do our best to keep you updated on the latest news.
Best regards,
Juan and Santi
Today, Team Wolverine reached Camp 1 Canada (4950 masl) The mountain was incredible, with a snowy landscape after yesterday’s storm. During the ascent, we were surprised by the snow again. Upon arriving at base camp, we were able to meet up with the members of the expedition who are making the rapid ascent; finally, Team Wolverine is complete. Tomorrow we have a full rest day before starting our summit attempt.
Best regards to everyone,
Juan and Santiago
Good evening!
Today our ascent plan had to be modified due to a snowstorm that put out the mountain’s light. We decided to stay one more day at base camp and not expose ourselves to preserve the group’s energy. It was an incredible experience, and we learned once again that nothing can be done against the force of nature. Tomorrow will be another day, and together we will try to start our ascent. Once again, Los Bros are still on their way.

Los Bros Team
After a comfortable night at the hotel in Mendoza and a fantastic dinner, the rest of the Wolverine team, with their rapid ascent plan, is now on Aconcagua. We reached Confluencia (3400 meters), and all team members are doing very well. Tomorrow we have a long trek to Plaza de Mulas, where we’ll meet up with the rest of the Wolverine team.
And finally, a change! After several days of sun and incredible weather, the snow we’d been waiting for arrived. It began very early in the morning with a dense fog. These low clouds then start to precipitate, gently at first, but quite heavily after midday. This didn’t stop Team Wolverine from continuing with their program and ascending Cerro Bonete 5000 masl. Despite the weather, we shared a sensational day full of landscapes and emotions. We’re happy to achieve and share the small goals of our daily lives… We continue to move forward, and starting tomorrow our team will be complete at base camp.
Best regards,
Juan
