The February 9th Machame Expedition Begins!
Hello Everyone,
Our last Machame route group of the season is beginning! Yesterday we did a gear check and orientation followed by a city walking tour and dinner out on the town. It’s looking like a strong group and we are excited to head to the mountain to begin our climb this morning. Last night we celebrated one of the climbers birthdays and we have one more to celebrate in a few days on the mountain. I’ll be posting here with our progress up the mountain.
Thanks for following along,

Lemosho Team on to the Safari
Hello Everyone,
We had a beautiful last hike through the forest enjoying a quiet trail in the early morning for our final hike. The team stayed strong and healthy throughout this climb and was yet another 100% success to the summit and down. Thank to our crew and this team of climbers for another fun journey! I’ll be back in a couple weeks for our last climb of the season!
Thanks for following along,
Ben

Team Summits Kilimanjaro!
We had 100% success on the summit of Kilimanjaro this morning. We are now safely down to our final camp on the mountain at Mweka camp which is at 10,000ft. We have just finished up dinner and heading to bed for a well deserved rest! We will wake up early tomorrow morning for our final hike down through the forest to the park gate. The team is happy, healthy and tired. I’ll send some photos tomorrow once we get connected again.
Thanks for following along.

The Team calls in from Kosovo Camp
8-day Lemosho team arrives to Barranco camp
Hello Everyone,
The team is doing great! Yesterday we had a great hike to Moir camp reaching 13,500ft. We had perfect weather for most of the day and just a quick shower of rain once we arrived to camp. The team is doing excellent with the altitude and today we reached almost 15,000ft breaking new altitude records for a lot of the team. Again today we had perfect weather with the usual clouds rolling up the mountain in the afternoon but no rain yet today. Today’s hike ascends and descends as we are traversing across the southern part of Kilimanjaro. Tonight’s camp is at 13,000ft and set in a beautiful cirque looking straight up to the walls and ice and snow of Kilimanjaro. I will update again tomorrow once we reach Karanga camp at 13,300ft.
Thanks for following along,
Ben

The climb far exceeded any expectations I had. The entire program, from arrival at the airport to departure was run effortlessly and smoothly without any hitches making it extremely easy for me to just concentrate on the trekking aspects and nothing else to concern myself about as it was all taken care of.
