Aconcagua-Vacas Valley-Dec 1-Team Heads out to the Vacas Valley

Friends and Family, Yesterday our team arrived in Penitentes near the access point for our approach to Aconcagua. We stopped along the way for a nice lunch in Potrrerillos, a small vacation zone with a beautiful lake of the same name. Upon arrival at our hotel we rested, met for a trek briefing, and then had a quiet dinner and discussed our team name. It is still in the works so stay tuned for our decision. It is early season here on Aconcagua so the hotel is still quite empty. Soon it will bustle with climbing teams but for now it was only us and another group of four from Eastern Europe. Today we will trek to Pampa de Lenas, our first camp. It should take us around 6 hours. The team is getting along well and looks strong. Stay tuned for more. -Evan
