Good evening good morning this is Lee and Don Nguyen with team Agua Con Gas. The team woke up early and cross a river. We entered a very steep valley, I call it a gorge. The trail gained 1,000 meters over 11 kilometers. The wind was relentless in our faces, we sat and tried to evade the dust all day. We got our first view of Aconcagua, and some great photos, we were able to see the snowcapped summit in all its glory- filled with ice and snow. When we arrived at Base camp we had a charcuterie board of meats, crackers, and cheeses, followed by beers and soup, and 5 vegan pizzas fresh baked. In exhaustion, after eating we collapsed in our tents. We will check in tomorrow, signing out.
