Los Pelados spends a sunny day carrying up to Camp 2 and contemplating a Team name change

Hello there friends, family, and loved ones, this is Team Pelados calling in from Camp 1.

It was a fabulous day today, clear, sunny, and pretty much the wind depleted for the time being. We were able to make a carry all the way up to Camp 2 on the Guanaco side, also known as Chopper Camp. Everybody was moving along at a really nice rhythm and good pace. We were able to carry our food and fuel up there. And then tomorrow our big plan is to actually move our Camp up to there, which is about 5,400 meters above sea level, so it’s a healthy jump but puts us right on schedule for going for the summit a week from now.

So please stay tuned for the further adventures of Los Pelados, also known as The Fifty Percenters. We’re also contemplating a new name change, so stay tuned when you’ll hear John say “Are you sure about that?”. Ta ta for now.
