Team Crack Exposure awoke to a gnarly blizzard, then got high on bacon and coffee after digging wind walls, with the plan to have as much fun as possible while waiting for clear weather

Yes, hello friends and family, this is Dennis calling in with an update for Crack Exposure.

So last night we awoke to a pretty gnarly blizzard and spent about eight hours building some wind walls and securing our camp. Well, we had a bit of a blow-out in our kitchen pole as well; but with some ingenuity and hard work paid off, we’re now chilling out in our cook tent, after an amazing feast of hash browns and bacon and lots and lots of coffee. Now we’re playing “pass the pegs” in the cook tent, so pretty much a lot of suffering going on right now (laughter in background).

We’re waiting out the storm; it’s still the white wind outside and our plan is just to hang out and have as much fun as possible, until the sky is clear and we can push up and move our cache to 13,000.

So that’s the story here. We’re having a lot of fun. Everyone’s really high, thanks to the coffee and bacon (more laughter in background) yea! And we’ll give you another update, we’ll see if we’re just as stoked tomorrow night.

Thanks for listening folks, ciao. (“Bye!” called out in background.)

    Submission by Jess, Alaska Operations.
