Alp 1 tucks into bed after a relaxing day with unexpected nice weather and beautiful views of a sea of clouds from 14 Camp

Hello, this is Cece from the interim Alp 1.

Our Team spent another day at 14 Camp. We had a pretty windy storm pull through last night. We were expecting bad weather today. It ended up being quite nice. And currently it’s dead calm but there are stacked lenticulars over Foraker and a sea of clouds below, it’s quite beautiful!

And our Team’s all packed and ready to do our carry up the Fixed Ropes and hopefully up to Washburn’s Thumb tomorrow. So we’re hoping this calm weather persists and those lenticulars disappear and we’re able to do a carry tomorrow.

Everyone’s tucked into bed, feeling great and looking forward to climbing higher on the mountain. Cheers!

Submission by Jess, Alaska Operations. Julia was clearly on the same wavelength because just a few weeks before, […]
