Team International Cow People/Alp 2 acclimatizing well after caching at 13,7 then returning to 11,2 for one more night

Friends, family, and loved ones, Stuart here from Alp 2 International Cow Peeps phoning in from the 11,200 Camp. We haven’t really been able to get through for the last few days; it seems we’ve had some difficulties with the sat phone.

Just to recall, everybody’s doing well on the Team. We slowly, conservatively made our way up the Kahiltna Glacier to the 11,2 Camp. We got a cache in to 13,7 a few days, just a tried and tested way to acclimate and get those heavy loads up the hill. And we’re looking forward to moving up to the Advanced Base Camp (14,200) tomorrow.

Everybody sends their love. On a sad note, Gosia one of our Team Members hasn’t been feeling well for a couple days and she descended down a few days ago. Gosia, if you’re listening in, we wish you all the best. It was great to see you again. (transmission garbled then cuts out)

  • Denali ’24 in a Nutshell

Submission by Jess, Alaska Operations. When I touched down in Talkeetna this year, greeted by sunny skies and perfect weather, I couldn’t help but feel hopeful for a smoother forecast for Denali climbing season compared to the previous year’s relentlessly poor weather. Julia was clearly on the same wavelength because just a few weeks before, […]
