What a day. It began at sunrise as we left camp at 6am hoping to beat the heat. The team was strong and motivated and made good time up the Easton Glacier.
At 9,000 feet things got interesting – exposed ice and gaping cracks to be jumped. But the haughty crew rose to the occasion and found themselves atop Grant Peak at 12:30pm.
The descent involved reversing the crevasses and ice steps, but our climbers were undaunted and arrived victorious at camp this afternoon, ready to cool themselves in a nearby tarn.
Couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish this trip. Bravo!
