Bolivia Expedition #2 Begins!

Hi friends and family,

We began our second Bolivia expedition of the year today with a team of five intrepid climbers, who successfully made the long journey down south, arrived with all of their luggage, and ran the ever exciting airport visa gauntlet. Now the team gets to enjoy a bit of sightseeing as we acclimate in preparation for moving up to the mountains.

We met this morning for a gear check and orientation. Afterwards at lunch, we tried a variety of dishes with an even wider variety of unique local ingredients. We then spent the afternoon touring viewpoints, markets, and historical sites and riding cable cars up and over the hillsides.

Tomorrow we leave the city for Lake Titicaca and the countryside.
