Check in from Vinson Low Camp

Hi everyone this is Ben calling in from Vinson. We spent the day yesterday organizing gear at Base camp- semi relaxing day as far as a rest day. Got everything organized for heading up to Low camp today. We’ve just arrived in the last hour and a half or so, we have all of our tents set up, getting water going, and going to jump into dinner here before too long. The team did awesome today, we were the first ones out of camp and the first ones up here today. The weather looked super nice earlier yesterday and this morning, it got a little cooler this afternoon and slightly windy. We’ve been down to our top baselayers today, its been much warmer than expected. We’re at about 9,000 ft now. We’re going to take a rest day tomorrow, we’ll give a call and check in after going over some skill review for the headwall on some fixed line practice. Hopefully the weather is still good, we’ll check in tomorrow!
