Fall 2018 Everest Basecamp – Team Cheese Balls Trek to Zamfurte

Friends family and loved ones,

The weather finally cooperated and we made it into Lukla around noon. After a quick brunch, we started walking from the ceremonial Sherpani gate. Cool weather made for good trekking, and we were able cover many miles. In the process we crossed several exciting suspension bridges! Our route took us by large Mani stones, pictured below.

All are in a fine mood after making up this mornings setback. We just ate and everyone is heading to bed. Tomorrow we’re off to Namche.
