Friends, family & loved ones,
This morning in Lobuche, Vern and the climbers said goodbye to the group and set off on their mountaineering adventures. We wished them well and continued our trek down the valley to the village of Dingboche. It was a lovely hike today as we descended over 2,000 feet in less than four hours.

Rest Break en Route
It being one of the shorter trek days on this trip, we had time to visit the village after lunch. Most of us opted to relax at the French Bakery. We munched on delicious cakes and pastries as we watched a movie in the bakery’s sunroom.
With the thicker air down here at 14,100 feet (everything is relative!), appetites and energy are starting to return. Tomorrow, we’ll continue our way down valley, so check back with us then.
