Denali 2022: Team 1 Checking in from Eleven Camp

Message from the team:

“Hello everyone this is Josh, Kristie and Sam. Checking in with Denali Team One. We are at 11 camp and weather’s real nice and we’re just hanging out and taking a rest day here today. Everyone’s feeling good, we want to keep it that way – keep everybody organized and feeling strong before we move higher up the hill. It’s very sunny! Hoping we don’t run out of sunscreen because the sun just won’t go away, but other than that things are going real smooth. So, talk to you tomorrow, we’re planning to carry some stuff up the mountain and leave it and then come back down here to this camp, so we’ll keep you posted on the progress as it happens. Okay, goodbye!”

  • Denali ’24 in a Nutshell

Submission by Jess, Alaska Operations. When I touched down in Talkeetna this year, greeted by sunny skies and perfect weather, I couldn’t help but feel hopeful for a smoother forecast for Denali climbing season compared to the previous year’s relentlessly poor weather. Julia was clearly on the same wavelength because just a few weeks before, […]
