Denali 2022: Team Shake and Bake takes a rest day

Hey folks this is Nick again with Team Shake and Bake coming in live from 11,000 ft camp. Had a nice luxurious rest day here this morning starting off with a long breakfast of French toast and sausages and finishing off with some pizza believe it or not. Folks are pretty psyched I was around a bit today especially since we’ve been having some inclement weather finally up here kind of just throwing around as it usually does appear at this camp, we’ve got all of our loads sorted for a carry around with the windy corner tomorrow but we’ll just have to wait and see what the weather brings in the morning. Fingers crossed if not we’ll just sit tight. Plenty of time just continue to acclimatize up here on the mountain. Everyone sends their love to all their friends and family and we’re psyched to keep pushing our way up this mountain. That’s it for now! Tune in next time for Team Shake and Bake and remember, if you’re not first you last.

  • Denali ’24 in a Nutshell

Submission by Jess, Alaska Operations. When I touched down in Talkeetna this year, greeted by sunny skies and perfect weather, I couldn’t help but feel hopeful for a smoother forecast for Denali climbing season compared to the previous year’s relentlessly poor weather. Julia was clearly on the same wavelength because just a few weeks before, […]
