Denali 2022: The Arctic Goons make it to 14 camp

Hey everybody this is Nate with the Arctic Goons coming to you live from 14 camp. That’s right we made it! Everyone is super psyched to finally make it up here to 14. Everyone’s been working really really hard to get here and we’re very excited for the next leg of our journey. Today was another gorgeous weather day. We walked up from 11 with heavy loads and it was a tough day but everyone did really well and we can set up camp here and had a nice dinner of pasta with red sauce and chicken. Tomorrow we’re gonna go down and grab some gear from our cache down at 13.5 and bring it back to 14 and then the focus will be on rest and recovery. We’re looking forward to some nice R&R and everyone send their love. Talk to you tomorrow!

  • Denali ’24 in a Nutshell

Submission by Jess, Alaska Operations. When I touched down in Talkeetna this year, greeted by sunny skies and perfect weather, I couldn’t help but feel hopeful for a smoother forecast for Denali climbing season compared to the previous year’s relentlessly poor weather. Julia was clearly on the same wavelength because just a few weeks before, […]
