Denali 2022: The Arctic Goons move Caches

Hello everybody this is Mike with Arctic Goons. Nate, Chris, and I are sitting here in the tent after a nice meal of pizza. Everybody had a really great day today when we picked up our cache at 9000 feet and brought it back to our camp here at 11,000 feet. We are planning on putting another cache in at 13,000 feet tomorrow so we’re moving right along here. Today the weather was cloudy and visibility wasn’t very good. It was a little windy but it also wasn’t very cold which enabled us to travel today. So we’re hoping for a little better weather tomorrow as we go up higher on the mountain but we will check back in with you after we put our cache in. Alright. Everybody is happy healthy and we’re all sending our love back home. Have a great night. Bye

  • Denali ’24 in a Nutshell

Submission by Jess, Alaska Operations. When I touched down in Talkeetna this year, greeted by sunny skies and perfect weather, I couldn’t help but feel hopeful for a smoother forecast for Denali climbing season compared to the previous year’s relentlessly poor weather. Julia was clearly on the same wavelength because just a few weeks before, […]
