Hello friends, family and loved ones,
This is Victor McNeil, lead guide with Alpine Ascents Denali team 1, the “Muffin Tops”. Yesterday we met our team of climbers and went through a gear check, covering all the essential gear to safely climb Denali. Afterwards we headed into Talkeetna for a pizza lunch, followed by a briefing at the Park Service. The weather was not in our favor to fly to basecamp, so we are hoping for better conditions today. Stay tuned on our progress throughout our expedition on the West Buttress.
