Hello Everyone, today we departed Basecamp at midnight heading for Camp 1. We had perfect weather, no crowds and the team made great time to Camp 1. The Khumbu icefall route is the quickest, easiest, safest, and fastest route I have seen in 14 years! Thanks to the icefall doctors for making an incredible route this year! We are now just relaxing in our tents at Camp 1 while it is snowing and blowing a little outside. Tomorrow we will do a short hike towards Camp 2 and return to Camp 1 for a second night. Everyone is doing great!
