Everest 2021: Namche to Deboche

Hello Everyone,

Today we said goodbye to our friends at the Panorama Lodge in Namche and headed up the trail to Deboche. After a little bit of climbing up and down we started the descent to Phungytenga and to the river. From there we had a big hill to climb to Tengboche where we had lunch at about 12,800ft. The trails are pretty quiet but the locals are all very happy to see us when we arrive. It’s quite a different experience here with very few trekkers on the trails and at the tea houses. After lunch we had a short descent to Deboche to another one of our favorite lodges the Rivendell at about 12,400ft. Tomorrow we will head to Dingboche where we will stay for two nights. Everyone is doing very well and adjusting quickly to the new altitudes.

Thanks for following along,

Ben Jones
