Rest days in Basecamp
Hello Everyone,
Not much to report the last few days. We have been resting our bodies, playing games, conversing, and sharing great meals cooked by our team here at Basecamp.
Yesterday, we did hike up on the flanks of Pumori for some exercise and good views. Just before this photo below was taken we did have some better views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and into the Western Cwm.
I am diligently looking at weather forecasts daily and looking for our opportunity to head up for our summit attempt. The group is healthy, and are being very patient for our plan. We have plenty of time, and historically there are many good summit days in the next couple of weeks. This first window of summits was a little too quick and crowded to want to try and make it happen. Our Sherpa have finished stocking the South Col with supplies and just a couple days ago the team of Sherpa that won the bid for fixing the lines to the summit were successful!
So now we wait for a clear weather window, stay patient and healthy for our opportunity to stand on top of the World.
