Summit plans

Hello Everyone, If the forecasts holds true we have some exceptional summit days coming up in the 20’s of May. We will head to camp 2 tomorrow night and plan on a May 23rd summit. A forecast is a forecast, but if it is even close we will hopefully enjoy a less crowded and calm night to climb to the top of the World. We of course have some built in flexibility in the schedule if needed to pivot with changing weather but for now we will be patient for one more day and then climb through the night to Camp 2. I couldn’t have asked for a more patient, team of climbers than what I have this year on Everest. At this stage in the expedition it is easy to get anxious and frustrated with the wait. We are all excited to begin the summit attempt and this team hasn’t been impatient or questioned the process one bit and it’s a pleasure to climb with a trusting, competent, and fun group of people! All well deserving to make their dreams come true here. I’ll be posting sometimes slightly hard to hear satellite phone messages as we continue up the mountain, but will do my best to make it clear of our whereabouts and that we are safe. We have an incredible group of strong climbing Sherpa that will also climbing with the team, and we will all be taking good care of the climbing team and their safety.
