Summit success and back to Basecamp!

Hello Everyone,

Today we woke up early for a 3am departure from Camp 2 for our last descent through the Khumbu icefall back to Basecamp. We only saw two other people traveling through the icefall today and the team make quick work of our descent for a second breakfast upon our arrival to Basecamp. It feels good to be safely back to Basecamp! The rest of today we will finish packing up, have a celebration with our entire crew and wake up early tomorrow morning for a Heli flight out of Basecamp back to Kathmandu. If everything goes smooth we will be back to the Yak and Yeti hotel in Kathmandu in the early afternoon.

Congratulations to our entire climbing team, our climbing Sherpa, and Basecamp staff for a safe and successful expedition to the Top of the World! Thanks to all for the hard work for the last two months!
