Hi friends and family!
The team has chosen a name that they feel represents the group, so I can now introduce you to Team: A Guide’s Worst Nightmare. Given our new team name, your well wishes for the guide team are appreciated.
We entered the park today and hiked for about three and a half hours to Confluencia, our first camp on the mountain. We will spend two nights here in order to let our bodies acclimate to the altitude of around 11,000 feet. Our afternoon was spent learning about altitude and acclimatization and in practicing Aconcagua style tent set up. Tomorrow we will take an acclimatization hike to Plaza Francia.
