Vinson Team Fin del Mundo on Tour!

Hola Friends, family and loved ones,

The weather is not cooperating so we diverted our attention to things we have more control over. Some worked out at the gym, some played trivia while others went to visit the penguins.

I chose to see the only King Penguin colony in South America along with several other team members. This entailed a taxi, a van, and two ferry rides. We made a few stops along our way. Wrecked ships are always interesting (pictured below). Then onto the colony of Penguino Rey! There were about 30 nesting pairs of adult Kings and several juveniles on the beach. We observed them preening, flapping, waddling, and generally doing penguiny things. This built up a mighty hunger in our bellies so we filled up on King Crab Empanadas! Yum!

As you may have noticed we now have a team name inspired by a restful evening in a hostal. It translates as “The end of the World”.
Stay tuned!

All our best,
Vern Tejas and the end of the world
