Team I-can-cagua

Hello friends and family! Today was a travel day, we loaded up a big bus this morning with all of our gear for the trip and started driving towards the mountains! After a lunch stop in uspallata where we enjoyed the drop in temperature from the heat of Mendoza, we continued on to puquios and dropped our duffel bags off for the mules to carry tomorrow. We then got some free time to either nap or explore a nearby area called Puente del Inca which has cool hot springs and a famous bridge (pictured below). Tonight we are staying at a military base, and enjoyed a delicious 3 part meal made by the soldiers!
Everyone is in good spirits and excited to start walking tomorrow!
We have voted on I can cagua as the team name that reflects how we are feeling about this trip!
We will check back in from our first camp, pampa de leñas!

Alpine Ascents guides reported significant new […]
