Team “Los Incognitos” climbs the Riffelhorn

Making the most out of a rainy day, team “Los Incognitos” climbed the Riffelhorn today. The Riffelhorn sits at 2930m above Zermatt, Switzerland and is accessed off of Rotenboden stop of the Gornergrat cog railway.

We started the day with a smooth transition by van from Chamonix and because of this efficiency we’re able to still climb before rain arrived at 14.00

Here‘s a photo of team member Amy Duff having fun on the summit.

  • Dear Alpine Ascents: Backcountry Quilts

Hey Alpine, I’m headed out to Washington in mid-September for a 6-day course (stoked) and I’ve been hearing a lot of great things about backcountry quilts.  Apparently all the cool-kid alpinists are using them.  Can I bring one on my course?
