Team Not MESSI-ing Around Has Another Successful Acclimatization Day

Today the team carried to Camp 1. This acclimatization hike brought the team back up to a bit above 16k ft again. After a tough three hour hike we arrived at Canada Camp which will be our home in a couple of days. After a break in rhe sun we did a quick one hour decent back to base camp below. Between boot skiing the soft scree, we could look across the valley at the peak that we summited the day before.
Sundays mean Asado in Plaza de Mulas so our dinner was extra special tonight. We will get a good night’s rest and take one more day off tomorrow before advancing to the upper camps. Stay tuned for an extra special day rest day post tomorrow!
