Vinson Team 1 Staying Patient!

Today we weighed all of our gear and then it was loaded onto the plane. This put us in position to depart for Antarctica as soon as possible. Incorporated in our orientation was a weather briefing which was less than hoped for. It seems that an unusual system is delivering snow and high winds to Union Glacier where our landing strip is located in Antarctica. Conditions are exceeding the limits of our aircraft so we will wait for things to improve.

The team is in great spirits as were are now conveniently located next to some of the best restaurants in town. Tomorrow we are planning to do skills review so we are prepared when we get to the ice. Please stay tuned!

All our best,

Vern Tejas and team
