Team Summit Sleighers Summits Bonete!

We summited a 16,420 ft mountain today on a very picturesque day with beautiful weather! This was a first summit in the Andes for a number of climbers in our team. There are currently several long sections of penitentes to navigate on the way up Bonete, so we got in our gymnastics workout balancing around and through the labyrinths of 6 foot pointy ice spires. We definitely enjoyed our hike today!

Tomorrow we will porter gear to our first upper mountain camp.

Saludos!
