Hola family and friends! All team members summited Antisana! They all performed really well during the climb. They started their summit attempt at midnight in good weather and got to the feature known as “the saddle” before sunrise. With the first sun rays, they could enjoy fantastic views. They got to the final challenging bergschrund and braved their way to the other side and the summit (18,891 ft / 5,758 m). The descend involved an 100 foot rappel from the summit plateau. Big congrats to the climbers and guides on a successful and safe climb on Antisana, one of the most coveted mountains in Ecuador.
Team members are doing well, resting and recovering before their summit attempt on Chimborazo, the highest mountain in the Andean country.
They all say hi and send their best to family and friends.
Stay tunned!
