The Blockade Runners Hike to Condoriri Base Camp

Today we spent the morning with a family of llama herders in the village of Tuni. We tried our hand at the traditional methods of making yarn from alpaca wool and blanket weaving. We also got to enjoy a special dish from the Bolivian high altitude plateau; lamb cooked on hot stones buried underground.
We finished the day with a hike to our base camp in Condoriri at 15,400 ft. We will spend a total of five nights at this camp hiking and climbing in the area.
Buenas noches,
Rachel
