Trekking on the Sun Island

Hi family and friends,

Today we continued our acclimatization by spending the majority of the day hiking. We began the morning with a steep but short climb up to a viewpoint over Copacabana. We have several great photographers in our group and they had three drones flying at the same time capturing all of the angles.

After our tour of Copacabana we took a boat ride to the Sun Island, the largest island on Lake Titicaca, where we took a six mile hike across a majority of the length of the island and made a few other side trips to see Incan ruins.

We just finished a dinner of fresh lake trout beside a warm fireplace at our lodge for the night. So with that, it’s buenas noches!
