Acclimatizing in Nyalum

Hello Everyone,

We are doing great here in Nyalum (12,500ft). Today after a delicious breakfast of eggs and pancakes we headed out on an acclimatization hike up to just over 14,000ft. It was a cloudy day but we still had nice views of the surrounding hills, and of the town below. Everyone is acclimatizing well, and felt great after our hike today. The rest of the day we have been relaxing, we ate our usual rice and vegetables for lunch, and a little walking around the town. There isn’t a whole lot to do here but there is Internet access, coffee, and food so we are pretty well taken care of, and its a good thing to be resting as much as possible too while we are preparing our bodies to climb to 8,201 meters!

Tomorrow we will be driving a couple hours to the town of Tingri. We will spend two nights in Tingri, further acclimatizing, and going on a couple more hikes.

Thanks for following along.
