The Team attempted the summit but strong winds led to the decision to descend and wait for better conditions

Hi, this is Jonathan Spitzer with the Mont Blanc trip. Today is Tuesday, July 1st.

We made our attempt on Mont Blanc today. Some climbers just made it only up to the ‎Gouter Hut as conditions were a little bit tricky. And some other climbers made it a little bit higher up towards the Vallot, the Bosses Ridges. We had to turn around about a thousand feet below the summit due to really strong winds that were over 50 miles an hour today and a cloud cap sat on the summit.

We’re back at the hut here and if the weather allows, we’re going to make another summit attempt tomorrow, but right now the forecast is looking not so good. We’ll be in touch and thanks for following. Bye.
