The Mountain Czars Reach High Camp on Elbrus, Practice Skills and Get in Some Glissading

Hello there friends family and loved ones, Mountain Czars reporting in from Russia. We are at our high camp right now, we moved up today in clear skies and windy weather, up to 15,000 feet above Pastukov Rocks, the top of the rocks, just to get look around, and to acclimatize. Everybody seems to be doing fairly well on those fronts. We even did a little skills training set with footwork and how to use our feet in such a way as to climb efficiently. And on the way down we were able to jump in our plastic bags and slide down the mountain, you should have been there, lots of fun.
Tomorrow we are planning on working more on skill sets, hopefully master the self-arrest technique, and thn rest up, get early to bed so we are ready for out summit push the following day. So stay tuned for the further adventures of the Mountain Czars.
